Malcolm Ray Reese, 54, of Bethlehem, NC went home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 28, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory.

Born January 19, 1961 in Catawba County, Malcolm was the son of Max Ray Reese and Carolyn Fowler Reese. He attended Harvest Bible Chapel in Hickory and loved being outdoors, farming and hunting. Malcolm often found himself helping and doing for others. He loved spending time with his family and found great joy in spending time with his grandsons. Malcolm Ray Reese, 54, of Bethlehem, NC went home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 28, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory.

Born January 19, 1961 in Catawba County, Malcolm was the son of Max Ray Reese and Carolyn Fowler Reese. He attended Harvest Bible Chapel in Hickory and loved being outdoors, farming and hunting. Malcolm often found himself helping and doing for others. He loved spending time with his family and found great joy in spending time with his grandsons. Marrying his high school sweetheart Martha Williard on January 3, 1982, they spent a wonderful 33 years together. God blessed them with 2 sons, one daughter and 2 grandsons. Malcolm was blessed with many things in life but his most proud moment was the birth of his grandsons. He was an accomplished furniture builder and had a very special gift when it came to furniture design. He was the co-owner of Piedmont Wood Products in Taylorsville, NC. Malcolm will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish beautiful memories and a life together are his wife, Martha Reese; sons, Matt Reese of Fredericksburg, VA, Josh Reese and wife, Whitney of Bethlehem; daughter, Jenna Reese of Bethlehem; Mother and Father, Carolyn and Max Reese of Hickory; Mother and Father-in-law, Martha and Grady Williard of Hickory; brother, David Reese and wife, Lisa of Statesville; sister, Kay Reese Robinson and husband, David of Centerville, OH; two grandsons, Carson Reese and Lane Reese; sister-in-law, Connie Peeler and husband, Doug of Bethlehem; nephews, Dawson Reese, Reese Robinson, Dane Robinson, and Andy Peeler; niece, Rebecca Phillips and husband, Brent.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Harvest Bible Chapel in Hickory. A graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.
